      BMW continues to stack its drivers for the 2012 DTM season and appears very serious about beating Audi and Mercedes. First BMW stole Bruno Spengler from Mercedes. Then they took 2011 DTM champion Martin Tomczyk from Audi. Now they get Joey Hand to switch from ALMS to DTM to make what will be an all-star driver lineup when he also joins recent BMW DTM driver additions Andy Priaux and Augusto Farfus. Only 1 driver's seat left in the BMW DTM stable.

        OK so who are they getting to replace Joey in ALMS. because he was the most reliable and consistant driver they had and it will be a big blow to BMW's ALMS team losing him. My fav race driver btw. The guy is solid as hell behind the wheel.

        Oh and got damn BMW is trying to blow the competition away. Like sweeping the series blown away.

        A very good question and I don't understand why someone would want to go from ALMS to DTM. Do they pay better in DTM?

        It just shows these guys can be bought. But yes, BMW is being super aggressive. Does not look like they intend to take a year to learn.

        I believe so, with the european sponsorship, the series fielding better talent(LeMans winners, F1 drivers, etc.), and the manufacturers committing a larger investment to beat one another with cars that compete directly in the market. BMW's return will definitely get me to watch DTM again, i've been watching past seasons(91,92,stc.) just so I can see more than two manufacturers! Click here to enlarge
