    • Buckhead Imports RMS Stage 2 supercharged E39 M5 (S62 V8) cracks 600 wheel horsepower on 91 octane

This is the same E39 M5 that previously ran 11.7@122 in the 1/4 mile. They took it to a dynojet and it put down 606 wheel horsepower in what appears to be STD correction. Impressive? Yes, when taken into account this was supposedly done on 91 octane pump gas. Blower used is a Vortech V2 SI pushing around 10 psi of boost. This would be the first and only S62 in the world to go over 600 wheel on stock internals. This level of boost on pump gas with 11.0:1 stock S62 compression shows a well tuned setup by RMS.

The Bimmer V8's are coming. It seems i have been hearing about alot more high power stock block v8's lately that have been around for awhile but under wraps. One as high as 730 hp.

At that power level, e36s trap just under 140... I do expect the bigger vessel to get outtrapped. But not by 15mph. e92s don't weigh too significantly less than e39s. A e92 M3 with 600whp doesn't trap 122.
I do expect more trap as well but these cars are not nearly as efficient in utilizing their HP as the E92 M3.

Still, you would expect more trap as you said for that power level.

So this is being installed this/next week? Please get us photos if you can and would really be interesting in your impressions. Dyno as well if you get it!

        Thank you Sticky,

The kit minus the plenum is currently being shipped out to Buckhead for install. I dropped the car off a bit early to keep from driving it down in the snow. Buckhead will be the first shop to touch my car since my purchase of the Beast. I always do the work needed on the car myself. The plenum is still a couple of weeks away from being finished. They are also installing a bunch of PLX equipemt for me so I can properly monitor everything and datalog it's performance. I really am in no rush since the car would just be sitting under the car cover in my garage anyway during the winter. They will for sure be doing before and after dyno comparisons, which I will absolutely report. I plan on flying back down in late January or early February to help with the install. I have asked them to take plenty of pictures of anything they do without me being present. I like to document (usually with pictures) everything that is done to the car. I will share any pictures I get/take. Time is not a concern of mine, as long as it is finished by April 1st.

I like the fact you are not rushing things with unrealistic deadlines.

I have seen both my own projects and in those of others that this mistake can
        lead to alot of frustration.

Hey, impressing the masses isn't really what BimmerBoost is about. You are in the right place.

An e34 540 turbo race car that keeps coming up in 540 turbo discussions. I have heard it makes 730hp (somtething like that) on stock block. I dont know if its true but i have heard it numerous times and there is a mag writeup about it also but i cant find much about it. PPF i heard also turboed one and made big power from a stock motor. The build thread went down so i havent been able to keep up with it.
