    • VAC Motosports breaks the overall E92/E9X M3 1/4 mile record with their VF-Engineering supercharged car - 10.6@129.3

Here it is ladies and gentlemen, 10 seconds boost only. And not just barely breaking into the 10's but getting close to mid 10's. What changed since the last time out for this car which set the boost only record? Launch control used with Mickey Thompson ET Streets. The 60 foot record was obliterated with the first 1.6x at 1.63. A major improvement over the previous 1.776. For those wondering if launch control is the way to go at the strip, this should be definitive proof.

This beats the previous record which was set with nitrous. Amazing to see a boost only car do this and what we expected all along out of the M3's, 10 seconds with superchargers. The bar has no been set. Congratulations to VAC Motorsports and VF-Engineering.

        3) 10.690* 129.380 6.896 103.830 1.633 BMW M3 E92 VF620 2008 VAC Motorsports
        4) 10.870* 131.400 7.130 103.400 1.830 BMW M3 E92 2009 Mike Wadsworth
How did VAC manage this trap/time with a similarly sized setup/boost as Mike's car which ran another 100shot of NOS on top of the ESS-600 kit? Both cars are DCT and both cars had close 60' times and very close trap speeds both 1/8th and 1/4...Is the VF-620 kit really that much better that it can take on an similarly sized ESS kit that also had a 100shot of NOS and beat it?? I don't get it..

its because ESS kits are doo-doo. that was 5.5 psi on the ESS kit. i had the dyno somewhere, and WITH the 100 shot, it was about 560rwhp.

Because his car with nitrous was putting out power close to this one. Makes the boost only runs look all the more impressive Click here to enlarge

just want to point out that I'm not in any way doubting legitimacy of VAC's or Mike's numbers here at all...i'm just trying to understand the differences in the setups...

LM, on dragtimes where I got that table from, Mike indicated he was running the VT-600 kit for his 10.8 run w/ the 100nos shot and 7.5psi boost...not the vt-575 which runs 5.5psi...take a look at the details on the slip on dragtimes

The details on his runs are all here. He was running the 575 kit with nitrous and then maybe changed it who knows with the old pulley. Either way, his dyno numbers with nitrous were less than mine on boost alone, think about that.

Also, 130 has been cracked boost only which shows you it can be done.

I don't doubt VAC at all since I'm a customer. There was a lot of pulley swaps and missed info during that time. Congrats to VAC again though
