• BMW bringing its scooters to the USA for 2012 - C600 and C650 GT

      Good news scooter fans, BMW will be bringing two scooters to the USA in 2012. The first one is the sporty oriented C600. The second is a touring model, the C650 GT. The Vice President of BMW Motorrad USA when asked on how the scooters will do in the American market stated the US is, "a step in the dark." Both scooters have 647-cc engines putting out 60 horsepower. Pricing is expected in the $10,000 range when the scooters go on sale as 2013 models next fall.

        $10k for a scooter. What?! That can't be right.

        Doesn't the S 1000 RR come in under $14k?

        $10k sure is a lot of coin but that is what was stated...

        The S1000RR is around $15k, yes.

        Yup just checked prices. They raised the msrp on the S 1000 RR for 2012 models, to $15k. Still a screaming deal for the tech on that bike.

        Uggghhh...$10k for a damn scooter.
        I'm still on the fence whether I want to buy an S1000RR this winter or not....I definitely do not like that it has no power below 10k rpm&you have to rev the piss out of it to go fast.
