      We thought this eventually might come but not so soon. Weistec has decided to sell a naturally aspirated tune for the M156 V8 which offers gains of 47 wheel horsepower on 91 octane, impressive. In addition to the horsepower gain torque is upped by 32 wheel, the speed limiter is removed, and the throttle response is optimized. The price is a very reasonable $990 which also is credited toward a supercharger purchase should one decide they want more power.

        WOW.
        Looks like I'm taking a trip down to see Steve.

        Those Weistec seals are also a nice touch...better than epoxy anyway LOL

        I wonder how much more power they could pull out with a 93 octane tune ?

        I'd go for a 93 tune as I rarely drive my car and can keep 100 octane on hand to mix. A little birdie also told me they are developing headers Click here to enlarge

        Not 100% sure but I would think the gains would be minimal at best, maybe 5 hp?

        I've seen a gain of .1 to .15 in ET and about 1 to 1-1/2 MPH mixing MS109 with 93 octane with a different tune. I'm sure Weistec would/could offer a race tune if the customer requested one.

        Good stuff. Id rather no proof of the Tune on my ECU at all so I would ask to leave the seals off. Click here to enlarge

        What gains if any might be expected on a C63 with P31 Development Package. Seeing as these gains are from an E63 it might be reasonable to expect similar gains. I don't think anyone else has shown much in the way of gains on a C63 with P31. Have to wait until they do one to find out.

        Seeing how the P31 whp is underrated I don't think you would get much more from tuning a P31. They also perform very close. A tuned C63 vs a P31 was very close. (OE did the test) Keep your P31 stock tune and enjoy your warranty.

        Nice! I've always been wondering if they were going to develop an NA tune. If I had a C63 this would probably be the tune I would get. It's nice that on their "Key Features" list, "drama" is not one of them, hehe.

        Thanks. I did see the test OE did and have been thinking the same thing. No sense wasting a warranty for little gain.

        I think the headers are a collaboration with MBH, but I may be mistaken. At least that's the only thing I have heard anything about.

        Thanks for asking. I will keep my eye on it and when I see some solid results on a P31 car posted I'll consider it. I have seen dynojet results in the 425 rwhp range for the P31 cars. I know different dyno different day. I will likely wait until my warranty is up anyway as that makes sense and I have plenty of power for everyday street driving.
