The new 2012 Porsche Panamera GTS unveiled at the LA Auto Show - Pictures and Specifications

This was a nice little surprise at Porsche's section. The Panamera GTS is based on the 4S so it has all wheel drive. It also has the same 4.8 liter direct injected naturally aspirated V8 but with a 30 horsepower bump to 430. The body is lowered 10mm and the wheels gets 5mm spacers. The 4S also gets the Panamera Turbo brakes as standard. The extra horsepower is what one is really paying for here and it is achieved by a new tune, higher redline by 400 rpm to 7100, and new valve springs to go along with those additional revs.

Nice to see Porsche do more than just change the tune although the changes to the motor are minor and GTS valve springs and tune will likely become a popular upgrade for S and 4S models. The intake is also revised which no doubt can be retrofitted.

So what else is different? A high-gloss black exterior package give a more aggressive look along with the front bumper from the Porsche Panamera SportDesign package. The interior also gets gorgeous stitching and Alcantara touches. In person, the interior was absolutely incredible. The entire car looked great and we hope the pricing is not too far out of line as Porsche attempts to squeeze yet another model into the lineup. Would also be nice to have RWD as an option with this motor.
