• SpeedDriven V12 twin turbo (M275 swap) into E-class puts down 744 horsepower to the wheels on pump gas

      Congratulations to V12speed and SpeedDriven. As previously reported, SpeedDriven successfully completed an M275 twin turbo V12 swap into a W211 E-class chassis. We have a dyno sheet posted now and the vehicle hit a very impressive 744 wheel horsepower on 93 octane. This was at only 22 psi and they are shooting for 28-29 psi eventually. The turbos used are PT 6262's. Very impressive power and there is definitely much more in it, well done.

        That is one fierce motor! Hell-of-a build. Out of curiosity, what's with the dips in the dyno graph?

        Shifts, different gears as it is in MPH.

        I noticed the mph, but I just thought the dyno operator can choose to read the run in mph vs rpms.

        This dyno wasn't done in one solid gear? How does it maintain a 1:1 then? Just trying to learn.

        You'll notice the peak numbers change slightly gear to gear.

        Shift points from 3rd to 4th gear indicates the dip. Somehow we wanted to see how efficient the turbos would be as speeds climbed so we left it at Miles per hour.

        This sounds way more powerful than when Brabus did it in 1996. I don't think that one was turbocharged.

        No, those were just big NA V12's.

        What about when Renntech did an EV12 in 1999? They were still NA then too right? So when did Brabus intro the first TT V12 in an E-class? Must have been shortly after the Renntech.

        I don't think the TT M275 V12 showed up before 2003.
