      I think we all knew a front engine GT car was inevitable. Reports are circling the web that Porsche is preparing for the 928. A modified Panamera platform would underpin the car which would likely share all drivetrain components with the Panamera which already shares its engines with the Cayenne. The car won't show up until the next generation Panamera does which likely means 2015 at the very earliest.

        why Panamera platform? that thing is 5 meter something long, too long for a sports car.

        Because it is a front engine modular platform. Obviously it won't be as long.

        minimizing the platform for 928 isn't that easy, they should make a new platform for it since these two cars are really different.

        Sorena, it's a modular platform. Minimizing it IS easy which is why they are doing it and building it with that in mind. Think of the Panamera as a stretched 928 platform and it all makes sense.

        Awesome. My dad had a red 1995 928. I loved that car. I was really young back in 1995 but I still remember it.
