      This time we definitely have to give G-power credit as they are making their top speed claim with something they never did before, proof. The run was done by Auto Motor Und Sport magazine at the Nardo high speed test ring and as you can see the speed was verified officially. We do not know of any other E9X M3 with a higher officially timed speed. Pretty impressive for what is a 570 horsepower stock motor kit.

        Based on gearing it would have to be as the manual is limited to 205. They could have bumped the limiter though or lengthened the final drive but from what I see DCT makes the most sense.

        I think your article needs to be changed a bit. You implying GPower makes top speed claims without backing them up. Not sure if you mean in relation to the M3 but look at what they have done with the E60 M5?

        The E60 M5 is the whole claim they never backed up. I'm not implying they make top speed claims without backing them up, I am straight saying it.

        I e-mailed G-power last year for verification of their M5 top speed claim and never received it even after they said they would provide it. Notice the speed M5board hit in the G-power M5 was lower than what they claimed? Notice there was no official timing readout, GPS, video, or anything? I expect proof of very high speed claims like they did here.

        They claimed 367.4 km/h. Once again, I have seen no verification of that claim and when I inquired I was told I would get it but have not received anything.

        Their record for CNG cars is confrimed by Guinness, not sure why they didn't do same thing about petrol car.
