• BMW Motorsport continues ALMS dominance, 1st place at Lime Rock - 3rd straight victory

This was the third race of the season and BMW Motorsport continues their great start with their third victory of the season. BMW finished 1st and 2nd at the 12 hours of Sebring to start the season and 1st place at Long Beach. The number 56 M3 GT started from the pole position and led every single lap until the finish. Car number 2 was unfortunately involved in a wreck but still managed to finish in 8th place. The next race is July 24 at Mosport in Canada.

Bobby Rahal: ďItís another great day for BMW and Rahal Letterman Lanigan. Itís too bad the 55 car got in the middle of that scrum. I have no doubt that they would have been right there and Iím just really pleased that we had a relatively trouble free weekend. Dunlop did a super job for us again. Itís three in a row, wow, that doesnít happen very often in racing, so Iím really thrilled for Dirk and for Joey and this helps them out even more in the driversí championship. BMW has given us the great equipment and our guys have done a great job and the results show.Ē

Lovin' it. I truly enjoy watching the ALMS and I'm glad we can get TV coverage. Unreal what they've done to the Bimmers this year to get them out front. The even sometimes get the fastest lap times-- nobody would expect that.

I'd be impressed if this was F1. BMW Motorsport is on my $#@!list forever unless they redeem themselves in Formula 1 somehow....and we know it wont.

I actually find ALMS more interesting than F1.
