      Well here it is testing, just in case you were doubting if it was really coming. The baby CLS will be called the BLS and not CLC as previously reported. Additionally, it will share the FWD platform of the upcoming next generation B and A-Class cars. BMW is poised to enter the entry level 4 door coupe market and Mercedes seems to be as well. However, a FWD platform is going to be a considerable turn off. Expect the car in 2013.

        Audi, BMW, Mercedes, they are all trying to fill every niche and invent new ones.

        Like it or not, they're a for profit company with worldwide investors. And shareholders want a return. If they built cars just for us, they'd go broke. The industry is competitive and you have to do what's necessary to stay profitable. Plus don't forget that India, Russia, and China are the new markets. Consumers there have different needs and desires.

        All they had to do was make it RWD though...

        Yeah, I totally agree. Although FWD is less expensive to build, so I guess I can see their side of it.

        Yep, they are platform sharing with the new A and B so we understand why they are doing it but hard to respect this car as an enthusiast. It could be so much more than it is.
