      There are not too many forced induction upgrades for the standard 997 Carreras so this is great to see. Vivid successfully did a single turbo on the 996 Carrera so we have faith they will be able to reproduce the result on the 997. The donor car is a 997.1 Carrera S 3.8 that does not have direct injection. The kit for the 996 cost $8,995 so this should be close to that range as well as the HP gain which was around 130 whp to the wheels.

        Talk about a maze of piping. They should have just gone the 964 route...one side is the exhaust, and one is the wastegate dump.

        Looks to be necessary. I'm amazed they fit it all under the bumper.

        No idea but clearly enough to warrant doing it.

        Actually they did it to allow the use of standard position mufflers. For me i would have followed thr 930/964 route, one 3" pipe right out of the turbo into a muffler and out the passengerside. Put a tip on the wastegate pipe coming out the driverside and no one will know the difference. Porsche did this for 25 years, depending on how you wanted your exhaust (twin pipes or one exhaust, one wastegate.

        Interesting. That might be easier and better but some of the Porsche guys would complain their tips no longer work. You know how it is...
