    • New E46 M3 60-130 record, 4.93 with Video

This run file has been verified and there is a video accompanying it. This turbo E46 M3 belongs to a controversial member but we are just going to focus on the record and details. The car was run at about 26 psi also with nitrous we believe. Redline has been raised to 9000 rpm. Owner has not provided the full specs but this is a built motor with two GT3076 turbos. Whatever the exact specs are, there is no denying this is a very fast car.

not that simple, not adding fuel or ignition. Fuel and ignition and thats it? WOW. So simple?

There are different strategies which I won explain here. Confidential.
So why do you make less power now? You didnt use nitrous (claimed) back then either. Why so secretive about everything?

I don't get it either. Posting the 60-130 numbers essentially reveals your hand so why all the mischief and secrecy? Why even post in the first place?

Do not ask, or question. Just show love for him. He needs much loving.

Being secretive is just being selfish to the e46 F/I community...how can people learn from your mistakes if you're not willing to share? It's not like you're a business and you're trying to compete with other businesses...and chances are slim someone is going to replicate your setup.

        Vick,

You misunderstand or I could not explain well.

To repeat 1 more time, before Neel came my S54 made 997 whp. thats 3 full years ago. In shoot out mode back in 2008 august. (race gas) the 997 whp was made with a different brand of ecu, not pectel.

When Neel came in 2009, we made 850 whp with pump gas, and stopped there. We did not push for over 850 whp, as main concern was education, not peak power. We had a schedule to fulfill, so not to make the most out of a S54.

After Neel has gone back home, I tried many setups, many different components, but never pushed the S54 hard on the dyno. Although I dozens of 800*997 whp
runs from that time till now.

I use the dyno for tuning and checking.

I can make more than 997 whp on dynamics, but this dyno puts much more stress onto the engine / chasis than a dyno jet.

Especially the lower wishbones get so much stressed that they get bent sometimes.

My main goal has been to get the best road results.

I can make 1000 + whp any time on the dyno but that will a show. Wont reflect real road results.

Dyno does not decide for road results. Dyno is just a tool.

Thats why I focused on 60-130 and 100-150 mph times.

On the highway most of the races start at 60 and end at 130 mph most of the times, few times at 150 mph.

I wanted to make both of my M3s like a bullet on a highway scenario and I am about to achieve that goal.

Before braking my S54 on the dyno during a 1000 + whp run, I rather prefer to make real road tests.

Imagine this S54 made 791 whp @ 6100 rpm. Rev it to 9000 rpm. How much power would it make? 1000 +
        Add to that some nitrous.....

Anyway, if I can reach my 60*130 goals one day, then I can say OK I am done and will put M3 onto the rollers and see the power it made.
Till that day I wont be pushing till 9000 rpm on the rollers.

As of this week, my S54 made 791 (930 dyno jet) @ 6100 rpm. you name the power.

Regarding secrecy, why would I explain the details after all the bashing?

Mert, be realistic here. Most places have you banned and secondly there is a lot of baggage. At least people are somewhat moving past it and discussing the car but don't act like you are doing everyone a favor here...

Bashing due to your mentality...you are clearly $#@!ed in the head and your consistant arrogance is annoying. Keep it a secret...not like your car will ever touch the north american soil anyhow.

Okay, my name has been thrown around here way too much, time for me to set things straight:

Mert's been a customer of ours for years. I am not going to comment or weigh in on any of his business dealings in the past - he's always paid up front and one time. Mert's passionate about what he does, and I will be the first to tell him sometimes his attitude gets him in trouble. But he is a great learner, a good listener and has accomplished a lot because of it.

We treat Mert like we do all of our other customers. I did fly there and I did help him learn the system. Mert squeezed every last drop out of me - it was a week of very long days and some late nights - and he was an incredible student. Just like all of our customers, I do answer his questions and give him guidance. But the tunes ARE his own. He's done the work, spent the time on the dyno, run into issues, asked questions, tried new things and continuously moved toward improving his game. Here's another thing maybe Mert doesn't want you all to hear - he's blown up A LOT of stuff. But he's used every single failure as a learning opportunity and grown from it.

You don't have to like Mert, you don't have to like his attitude, you don't have to like his language, and you don't have to like his posts. But some facts:

        1. When Mert says he tuned his car, he's telling the truth.
        2. I provided Mert a base setup and training like I do all of our customers. You don't hear me telling people that Marcus from Magnus in Toronto didn't tune Mark Maquis's M3 last week because I trained him on the software and provided them with startup calibrations.
        3. Mert's car makes the numbers he's talking about. I've seen them with my own eyes. I've ridden in the car. Its a monster.
        4. Mert is every bit as insane as you think he is - and that's neither good nor bad - you have to be completely nuts to be driving a 1000hp BMW at WOT on highways in Turkey.

I've always respected my customer's wishes in terms of talking about their cars, but here I'm just confirming some of what Mert said. Whatever you think of him and the path he took to get there, he really did do the work himself and built a massively powerful S54, and I for one commend him on that.

Oh, and whatever you think of Mert, he has some incredibly kind, caring and warm people who work for him. That in and of itself made for an great visit.

Thank you for clarifying Neel, this is was definitely needed and adds some valuable insight not only into the car and what went into it but Mert as a person as well.

Yes it shows he treated him well, because he wanted something from him and paid him for it. Now if he did the same the others. What a great guy Mert is. This has fully changed my mind about him. Thanks Neel.

Nobody is reading too much into it. It was time for somebody who, you know, actually has met or done business with Mert to speak?

We understand you follow Mert to every thread and insult him but it's getting old. Nice of Neel to actually post his experience instead of just typing the same thing over and over in every thread.

You have totally lost me here. It seems you are saying that I treat my customers well when they pay me for product that they want, but you're obviously being sarcastic. Would you rather work with people who don't deliver when you pay them?

That's fine, and people can make up their own minds without you constantly trying to throw your view point at them. We understand how you feel, we get you don't like him, you said it over and over and over, thanks.

They will make up their minds with the full story yes. Next thing you know he will once again begin selling products/stealing from others. Constant praises from the likes of those who do not know the past can cause many much loss from hiding the truth. Click here to enlarge
