      We're hoping this is some kind of mistake but it appears that Auto Bild in a preview of their upcoming issue has revealed the F20 1 series design ahead of schedule. The front is, well, ever hear the saying a face only a mother could love? BMW seems to be mimicking some Audi headlight aspects in this design although it looks a bit clumsy in its execution. This could be nothing and we do not have official photos yet but Auto Bild is reporting this as the new F20 1 series.

        The one looking similar to the current 1 series (the one in the pic) has been said to be the new 1 series replacement...designation changed to 2 series. The new 1 series will be FWD possibly AWD option and a hatch. This change is going along with the 3 series being split into 3er and 4er separated into coupe (3) and sedan (4).

        According to the latest I have seen.

        Man I hope that isn't a final production rendering, I doubt it is but still.

        Not bad at all, I'm in the minority that thinks the E82 is a great looking car (that's why I bought one) though so maybe that's why I like this F20 too. If the rumors are true about it being almost as big as an E90, though, you can forget it. I ditched my E90 for my new E82 because of its size, why the hell would I want the replacement to be that much bigger?

        BMW seems to be making all the models bigger and bigger. Maybe to make room for their new entry level cars? Who knows.

        BMW sure is trying to cater to all the masses now. This car is $#@!ing horrendeous, I kinda like the front but thats it. Man why couldn't BMW just stay with the 3,5,6 and 7 series, plus the real ///M? They were doing just fine without all these new bullsh1t they are coming out with. Just makes them look like the new VW or Toyota.

        A lil retro maybe? I like the well-defined rings but their squareness clashes a bit with the triangular light fixture.

        I don't think there's anything wrong with a proper BMW club wagon tho. Like a Mini Clubman but up a notch.

        I know, recently saw some other shots of it, can't believe it is going to be more hideous than the current 1er.
