• Active Autowerke Stage 2 E92/E90 M3 supercharger with meth injection dyno numbers - 499 whp

We are a little surprised with these results. The car here belongs to BimmerBoost members akh23456 and he was kind of enough to send us the dyno graphs. We have been following his Active Autowerke Stage 2 build which was completed by Maximum PSI and now have the independent dyno results. In SAE correction the car hit 499 whp, not cracking 500 on any run. Runs were done in 4th and 5th gears and the car is a DCT. The higher number you see on the graph here is the best 5th gear run vs. the best 4th gear run, take a look.

also, there is a realistic AND local ESS dyno floating around, it just doesnt get discussed much.
There are tons of real ESS numbers and not the marketing numbers. Just look at the numbers on the 118 trap ESS M3.

People believe these insane dyno queen numbers. Last I checked, nobody has still hit the 600 whp at 7 psi on pump gas through the stock exhaust they claimed.

This is no shot at the kit which is great, but it sucks to mislead people for money and it sucks even more that if you bring it up you are branded a hater by the fanboys.

It isn't too small. Could you go bigger? Sure, but AA seems to prefer the HKS setup for whatever reason.

It does look on the small side for a 4L engine.

Not trying to burst any bubbles, I bet the car is really quick. Just pointing out something that concerns me.

It is likely that AA just used the same blowers they were already buying for the E46 to keep costs down.

I wouldnt try to run any more boost than you are already, i bet its flow limited right now at 7 psi for this displacement and RPM.

If so the setup is a bit limiting.

It does make good numbers as is, 500 whp and a flat torque curve is pretty fun.

First off I want to say congrats on the new power that curve looks nice. You have good gains from before and after has to feel like a new car.

What PSI are you running now? looking forward to max psi on this set up.

i think 200cell highflow cats, but at his powerlevel, i still think its good for 20+RWHP,

thanks guys appreciate the comments, I dunno about blower size but its doing the job compared to some of the other bigger blowers i guess. i still have primary cats which are 200 cell i will be changing those out shortly and try and show the gains by going catless on a sc setup. I didnt know where i could tap the boost, so i used my boost gauge read about 7.3 psi. It will sway between 7.0 and 8.0 depending on weather conditions i was told.

I wish AA would better inform us of the differences in the Stage I and Stage II, namely the boost.

Seeing before and after gains of the cats will be extremely useful!

little disappointed to be honest......but dynos dont mean $#@!, just good to see the delta between mods......get some VBOX runs in so we see how the AA kit stacks up to others...OR, since were all local maybe you could meet up with M33 or IMG or another ESS kit owner and hit the dyno back to back so conditions are the same, etc.......

car looks gorgeous btw, came out great !

and going catless will definetly get you at least 15-20whp more with your mods...

Today is not my day lol. 620 whp with 15% drivetrain loss is roughly 93 whp difference. so 530 whp. Looks good, just remove those cats and i'm sure he'll be right on the money
