      DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) touring car racing is extremely popular in Europe. Most people in the United States are not familiar with it but with DTM racing coming to North America in 2013 it is time to start getting acquainted. There is a good reason they are bringing it here and the video below illustrates it perfectly. The action is intense and the racing is very close with a lot of passing. The race was won by Mercedes with Audi coming in second.

        I really like DTM, they are saloon version of F1 cars.
        but what i don't like is the variety of cars, just Audi and Merc. That's not exciting.
        I agree. When the races would air I wouldn't bother watching. I remember the days when the e30's and e36's would be on. The good ol days. ;-)

        Watch the video and tell me that isn't exciting, the racing is awesome. When BMW enters it will be very exciting.

        I have a set of DVD with full coverage of 80's and 90's WTCC, wish i could show you.
        there were 15 different cars, including Volvo, that's a proper race.

        Just because there aren't many makes doesn't mean the racing isn't exciting.

        It's exciting to watch, not exciting to follow the whole series.

        I'll be following the series. I find this more fun to watch than F1 personally.

        I like it, those races are so aggressive lol, people bumping into each other, running off the course, clouds of dust everywhere. Exciting stuff......

        Exactly how I felt, it is constant action.

        It doesn't bug me there aren't more makes. I mean people watch NASCAR and that is just the same damn thing with different decals running in a circle.

        I will be updating you guys on DTM throughout the season.

        Once it gets here we will have much more coverage.
