• DCT Build Part X - Final machining of SSP oil pan

Last week we brought you the initial pictures of the build process for the DCT oil pan. You saw one side of the pan and some users asked about seeing the other side. Well, here are the final machining photos revealing the completed pan. As you can see, there are fairly deep fins cut into it for cooling as well as a custom M logo specifically for the BimmerBoost M3. Hey, that's how we roll.

I hope so. I'm not even that concerned about the build time, it's other people I want to shut up, HARD.

The motor was already built. Really it's the big blower and the tuning that will be the last hurdle. Go big or go home.

They started assembling today but will finish Monday. Pictures to come soon.

Another interesting tidbit, they are developing even higher capacity discs after these. So if I somehow manage to destroy these (I'll do my best) there will be an even higher torque capable solution.

I think we will start in the 700-800 range and go from there. Basically, goal is whatever it takes/costs to be the top E9X.

Well than in that case what is currently the top E9X I'm not that familiar with you motor.

I basically was. There hasn't been any stronger boost only setup that I have seen and the ESS car that barely out trapped it ran nitrous on top.

Right now I would say Eugene's or Tightie's cars are the strongest around but they need to go to high boost first.

I think Brian's(niterider) car is actually the strongest, I believe he is on some sort of high boost.

Good point, I'm not sure where he is at but considering he works at Gintani he can take greater risk. So he is really the main guinea pig and going all out.

Don't want to give a life lesson here, but if you do things just for others sake, you will fail before starting, no gain in it.

You know, I don't even know why I feel rushed. I guess I'm just in a hurry to prove others wrong. The main thing is getting it done right.

I heard some absolutely great stuff speaking to Jeremy@OE Tuning today. Things are shaping up VERY well.
