By now you know about the BMW " i " sub-brand. Our fears have been that it is going to be all boring front wheel drive "city cars" but the latest i3 model news leaves us some hope. It has been confirmed the model will be an electric mid-engine and rear wheel drive, two very good things for driving dynamics. The batteries are also said to be placed as low as possible for a low center of gravity and the chassis will be lightweight aluminum. The car likely won't show up until 2013 at the earliest, but here is hope that they make some fun to drive electrics.
