It seems Nico Rosberg won't be leaving for Ferrari or anyone else any time soon. Mercedes GP Petronas announced a multi year contract extension beyond 2013. There were no details on how many years the deal is only that the contract was extended. Nico was already under contract for 2012 as was Michael Schumacher who may or may not retire as he keeps changing his mind. It is likely a safe bet that we will see both Rosberg and Schumacher race for Mercedes next year.

The first tunes for the N20B20 are trickling out. Kelleners released their tune (no pricing provided) which ups the output from 245 horses to 289. A fairly mild tune as we expect to see much more out of the motor. What we truly wish we had was a dyno as in stock form the motor puts out 233 horsepower to the wheels making Kelleners' crank estimates basically useless. The nice part about the Kelleners' plug in module is that it can be easily installed or removed, no fuss.

This clip is from Jeremy Clarkson's new Powered Up DVD. Nice to see a drag race between these two cars but the GT2 RS is launched rather poorly and simply gets creamed. The straightline difference between the cars is not this large as the trap speeds in most tests show simply that the Porsche is much, much harder to launch properly. It is rather amusing how Clarkson refers to the GT2 RS as a Volkswagen and well, he's kind of right.

The Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series is a just plain awesome vehicle. We love that Mercedes caters to performance enthusiasts and continually offers performance models that raise the bar unlike their rivals at BMW who seem to have lost their way. Too bad for BMW, Mercedes has us covered and this drool worthy video shows off just how badass of a ride the new C63 AMG Black Series is. Warning: Watching this will make you want one.

German racing component manufacturer Motorsport 24 is in the middle of reinventing the wheel with their newly developed headers for the S65. After a year of research, the M24 team is confident that they have improved upon the already stellar original BMW design. While these headers are still in the middle of optimization and development, initial testing has shown an increase in power as well as a substantial reduction in exhaust gas temperatures. ...Published on 11-15-2011 12:00 PM
The C63 AMG coupe and the CTS-V coupe are both beasts in a straight line. Insideline decided to find out which of the two is faster on the strip. The curb weight for the CTS-V is 4200 pounds versus the C63 AMG weighing in at a lighter 3,990. A 6 speed manual was the transmission chosen for the CTS-V while the C63 only has one transmission choice, a 7 speed automatic. The result? The CTS-V wins (barely) with a 12.2@117.5 against the C63's 12.3@116.3. Considering the CTS-V has a motor with a supercharger and barely edges out the naturally aspirated C63 that says a lot about how good the M156 is.

Check out these awesome renderings of the F82 BMW M4. We still can not get used to the idea of an M4 coupe instead of an M3 coupe as it has always been. Especially considering the M3 started as a coupe and not as a sedan. We think the idea is idiotic and BMW is needlessly complicating things but that is BMW for you. The positives to take away are that if the vehicle looks anything like these renderings then sign us up.

Early 911's are not exactly heavy cars. The lightest examples tip the scales at around 2400 pounds. DP Motorsport shaves around 450 pounds from that for a vehicle that weighs under 2000 pounds. How do they do it? Well, starting with a 1973 911 as a base the carbon fiber body kit replaces bumper, hood, fenders, spoiler, and even the roof panel. They also replace the windows with plexiglass. The interior is stripped out leaving a vehicle with a weigh of only 870 kilograms, impressive.

This is the first we have heard of TC Concepts which is based in Berlin. This body kit for the R8 which is limited to just 25 sets should get them some attention. It consists of a new front bumper, side skirts, mirror covers, rear fenders with intakes and flared arches, and a wing. The rear fenders and intake eliminate the sideblades which we feel really improves the look and makes the coupe look more akin to the convertible. The parts all use OEM mounting points which is impressive. The kit is available in either FRP or carbon fiber with pricing of 9,800 euros and 16,800 euros respectively.

If you don't like this, you are on the wrong the site. Talk about a sleeper. This MKII Golf built by Boba Motoring runs the 1/4 mile in 9.3 seconds at 159 miles per hour. It uses a 1.8 liter diesel block with 16V heads and a Garrett GTX4202R. The fuel system runs E85. This is a 6 speed manual car with a 4 Motion all wheel drive system. Oh, and the engine also revs to an incredible 9500 rpm. Vehicles like this are the reason VWBoost or any of the sites on the network exist, simply awesome.

Well, the new ML63 AMG was supposed to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The internet is making debuts at auto shows almost obsolete as here we have all the details well in advance. No surprises here, the car features the M157 twin turbo V8 and puts out 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque with the performance package available as an option to boost these further. The performance package also raises the speed limiter in the ML to 174 miles per hour.

BMWUK has put out a great new video showing off the engine sounds of the new F10 M5. The motor sounds great which makes us wonder why BMW has to go the cheesy fake engine note route when the motor is more than capable of speaking for itself. The S63tu sounds a bit more aggressive than the standard S63 twin turbo V8 that is in the X5/X6 M likely due to its intake, exhaust, and rev limit changes. Check out the video below.

Here is Vortseiner's quad exhaust for the F10 535i. The exhaust is available in either Stainless Steel construction or Titanium. Obviously Titanium will have different pricing from the Stainless. Dual walled lased etched tips are available in either Stainless or Titanium as well. The exhaust simply bolts in, no cutting or permanent modification required. The exhaust also pairs well with the Vorsteiner VMS rear diffuser which is pictured. The exhaust ships in December.

The Mercedes GP team started the race with aggressive battle on their first lap. On the exit of the first corner, Nico ran wide which allowed Michael to pass him, but Nico never gave up and passed him after a brief wheel to wheel battle. After that Nico never looked back and finished the race 23 seconds ahead of his older team mate in sixth place. After being passed by Rosberg, Schumacher also fell to Force India's Sutil, but managed to pass him in the pits, to finish behind his teammate.

We are waiting on more details as just this video was posted through a tweet which came from APR. We are guessing (but may be wrong) this is the same car that previously ran 12.25@114.8. 11.9@117.73 would be a considerable improvement and this vehicle obviously has APR mods on the car. The vehicle also belongs to a user named "Primetime." We will post more details as soon as we get them, for now just enjoy the video and the new record.

Well, so much for VW holding Porsche back to protect Audi. The Detroit Bureau reports Porsche is intent on growing as large as possible as fast as possible setting a very loft goal of doubling global sales by 2015. To do that in just 4 years would be absolutely incredible but Porsche is the most profitable automaker on the planet. The numbers look possible as they want to go from about 97,000 vehicles to 200,000+. The Cajun entry level SUV and the entry level roadster are the models Porsche is betting on that will push the sales numbers to their goal.

Well, it is getting pretty boring posting qualifying reports with Vettel having the pole almost every time. This marks his 14th pole of the season tying the record for number of pole positions for one season set by Nigel Mansell. Nico Rosberg qualified in 7th followed immediately by Michael Schumacher in the 8th spot. Vettel will have a chance to break the record at the last race of the season in Brazil at the end of this month.

The Nurburgring is one of the most famous race circuits in the world due to its history, length, and just how challenging it is. 24 hour races push teams to the very limit. The filmakers for this documentary accompanied the BMW Motorsport team from the first tests to the drive across the finish line detailing all the challenges along the way. As driver Andy Piraulx stated, "If you can conquer the Nürburgring, you can conquer anything." More info and how to order on the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/24hours.film

Prior Design makes a lot of nice body kits for a variety of cars. This one is a bit different than their other offerings as it is designed to update a 996 to look like a 997. This updated version of the kit looks better than what was posted previously as the wing make the rear of the car look cleaner and flow better which not something a large wing often does. Overall, we still think the best thing to do with a 996 that an owner wants to look like a 997 is to trade it in for one.

Another congratulations to Renntech who keeps raising the bar! To our knowledge, this is the first 11 second X5 or X6 M in the world. The 114 MPH trap speed is also the fastest we have seen from the platform. What is surprising about that? This was all done with just a Renntech tune. The 5300 pound vehicle hit an astonishing 1.6 60 foot on runflat tires. Renntech will now be taking the X5 M to the next level with an exhaust, intake, downpipes, and modified turbos.
