This is definitely some serious eye candy under the hood. This setup has been done by Fluid Motor Union on the M3's S65 V8 with water-methanol injection but this would be a first seeing it on the S85 V10. It is jaw dropping beautiful and the sound is simply orgasmic (watch the video below). These velocity stacks will require a custom Alpha-N due to the deletion of the air flow meters which means your tuner definitely better know what he is doing. ...Published on 09-27-2012 11:57 PM
The Porsche 997 GT3's with their race inspired GT1 blocks are very high strung motors difficult to extract power from. The GT3 RS 4.0 currently having the highest naturally aspirated horsepower per liter of any production car. The vehicle here is the 997.2 version of the GT3 with a 3.8 liter flat-6 rated at 435 horsepower. The baseline on the Gintani Dyno Dynamics is a very conservative 329.4 wheel horsepower. ...Published on 09-27-2012 04:57 PM
As Eisenman typically does they have quickly released an exhaust upgrade for a new BMW model. In this case, the new F30 328i sporting the new N20 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder. The rear section exhaust features 2x90mm tips and really opens up the sound of the N20 motor. Videos with sound clips are posted below. The N20 sounds surprisingly deep with a nice growl with this exhaust improving on the stock tone quite a bit. ...Published on 09-27-2012 12:54 PM
Prior Design does great work with body kits for European and Exotic vehicles. Their widebodies in particular are very well done such as what they did with their Mercedes CL Black Edition widebody kit. Now Prior Design is set to tackle the Audi R8 with a widebody. These are just renderings but from what they have displayed so far the final product does not differ much from the concept. ...Published on 09-27-2012 12:03 PM
Yes, Mercedes is quite serious about rolling out a ton of S-Class variants in the wake of Maybach's demise. Normally one would think a coupe or convertible based on the S-Class platform would be called a CL as it was previously. That is not the case however as it appears Mercedes will be dropping the CL name in favor of following a similar route as when they dropped the CLK name opting for an E-Class coupe instead. Sounds like change for the sake of change. ...Published on 09-26-2012 07:01 PM
With the Mercedes-Benz CLS AMG Shooting Brake on the market Porsche for some reason feels the need to do the same sort of car with their Panamera. Why? Who knows, maybe the engineers and designers are bored or they just want to spend some of Volkwagen's wheelbarrows full of money. This likely will not be built but the purpose is to show what they could do and also preview next generation Porsche styling elements. ...Published on 09-26-2012 04:47 PM
The E46 M3 turbo market does not have a large amount of competition but that may be changing shortly. Maximum PSI in New Jersey has been working on an entry level turbo kit for almost a year now and is seeing nice results putting down 467.9 wheel horsepower a nice increase from their preliminary 439 wheel horsepower dyno. What is significant here is not the power but the tuning on the stock ECU/DME and the entry level price point. ...Published on 09-26-2012 01:17 PM
Renntech has set a new benchmark for the Mercedes-Benz M278 Twin Turbo V8 used in the 550 models taking tune only output to 489.7 wheel horsepower. This is a large jump over what Renntech hit previously which was 447 rear wheel horsepower last year. This graph was revealed to us by Renntech in the M278 versus N63 comparison article. No other tuner is even remotely close to where Renntech now is with the M278. This gain is thanks to the raising of certain limitations in the ECU that it seems other tuners have not been able to do. ...Published on 09-26-2012 12:31 PM
Volkswagen has yet to reveal the new MKVII GTI but this design study shown ahead of the Paris Auto Show gives us a good idea of how the model will look. The bodywork is obviously more aggressive than the standard MKVII Golf sporting an aggressive front fascia with integrated LED lights and a rear diffuser with twin exhaust pipes. Power will come from a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder motor with 217 horses and 258 lb-ft of torque. An optional powerkit is said to up this to 230 horses. ...Published on 09-26-2012 11:53 AM
Now here is a 1 Series that can truly be called an M-car considering that it actually has an M-motor. G-Power starts with the 4.0 liter S65 V8 from the E9X M3 and puts it in the 1M engine bay where it seems to look right at home. They then add a supercharger on top of that to make for a car with a respectable 600 horses. In an interesting design difference from the G-Power S65 V8 supercharger kits, this vehicle has an air to water intercooler. A sign of things to come? ...Published on 09-26-2012 11:02 AM
On paper, this is not a mismatch. The 458 Italia has 562 horsepower from its 4.5 liter V8 powering the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The Audi R8 Spyder sports a 5.2 liter V10 with 525 horsepower. So why does the Audi get spanked so hard? Well, it's heavy at 3800 pounds meaning the 458 Italia is lighter by about 500 pounds which is significant. It also is sending power to all four wheels whereas the Italia is going to the rear wheels making for less drivetrain loss. ...Published on 09-25-2012 11:06 PM
BimmerBoost would like to welcome its newest vendor Undercover Performance. They are the largest ProEFI ECU dealer in the North East United States. The upcoming 034 Motorsport B5 S4 single turbo kit is going to be a big deal for several reasons. First of all, it is priced at $3350 and secondly it is able to produce 570 horsepower to the wheels. It will definitely generate some buzz on a platform that is a great value. With that wheel horsepower potential the expectation of performance is far greater than the 1/4 mile in 11.8@118 however. ...Published on 09-25-2012 05:22 PM
The new 991 GT3 and 991 Turbo are right around the corner. Testing should pretty much be coming to an end as Porsche continues to display more and more of the bodywork for both cars not bothering with attempting to camouflage them. The GT3 reveals an aggressive front bumper with a center exit exhaust. The car looks very good and aggressive with the LED integrated front spoiler, wing, and center lock wheels. Expect 450-500 horsepower from a 3.8 liter with a PDK transmission. ...Published on 09-25-2012 04:45 PM
Introducing the Gintani Stage I F10 M5 engine tune software. Considering the F10 M5 is barely on the streets of SoCal it is absolutely incredible this tune was developed and released so quickly. This is the first before and after tune dyno graph posted by a US tuner for the new F10 M5. The dyno used is a Dyno Dynamics which reads lower than the Dynojet and Mustang dynos most are used to. ...Published on 09-25-2012 02:31 PM
Introducing the new tuning program from Carlsson for the new W166 M-Class. This vehicle is based on the ML350. They start with the body kit which is a very nice looking design. The front bumper is replaced with one that features new fog lights, a new grille added, wider fenders, and a rear diffuser complete the look. These scare your wife/girlfriend/hot chick videos seem to pop up all the time but it is tough to get sick of them especially when it is a real race car driver and his real wife involved. The video is subtitled so you can understand what is going on. ...F1 2012 - Mercedes AMG GP Italian Grand Prix Race Results: Rosberg claims 5th and Schumacher crashes

Here it is officially, the new 2013 Audi S3. Time to commend Audi for a job well done by putting in a new and more efficient 2.0 liter turbo four with 300 horses and 280 pound-feet of torque. The engine is all new and only shares the displacement of the previous model. 300 horsepower is achieved with 17.4 pounds of boost at a compression ratio of 9.3:1. The main competition of the BMW N20 achieves 241 rated horsepower at a 10.0:1 compression ratio at 18.9 psi of boost. ...Published on 09-23-2012 11:30 AM
IND-Distribution with this 1/4 mile pass has now finished their baseline testing on the new F10 M5 and will soon take it to the next level. They took their M5 to the Great Lakes Dragstrip and had Ivan from AMS Performance who has experience launching dual clutch cars take it down the strip. He managed a respectable 11.97@119.50 with what is basically a stock M5 featuring only an Eisenmann rear section exhaust that will not add all that much horsepower but certainly will give the F10 M5 the more aggressive exhaust note it desperately needs. ...
