Here are two flash tunes that were recently completed by PAW Motorsport for a couple customers. The first car is a completely stock 2011 335 other than the flash tune. The car is a 6 speed manual and is running 93 octane pump fuel. The second car is a 2011 automatic 335 also dyno'd on pump gas. As you can see, large gains throughout the entire curve on both cars. Top Gear is entertainment above all but sometimes they do some good comparisons. Here we have a video where they take the competition package M3 vs. the new Audi RS5. Audi has had plenty of time to work on the RS5 but it still is not able to top the M3. What really opens eyes is the fact the Top Gear test track is wet and the M3 still outlaps the RS5. That is very surprising but no surprise the hefty RS5 routing its power to all 4 wheels does not make as efficient use of its power as the M3 which out handles and out accelerates it. Here is the new BMW " i " sub-brand. BMW continues to bring the brand downscale with their new all electric front wheel drive cars. The first car is the i3 which is also known as the "megacity" vehicle. This car is a lightweight all electric. The second vehicle in the lineup will be a plug in hybrid which BMW touts as a sporty hybrid. What does this mean for the enthusiasts? MHP put up videos taken from the 2/18/11 track rental where many new records were set including the SL65 tune only record and a new C63 AMG record. The first video is the SL65 tune only record pass. Audi has released concept sketches of their A3 sedan. The car is set to be unveiled at the Geneva car show as a concept. The fascia is modified from the standard A3 with a more aggressive and updated design. It is also longer than the A3 hatch by about half a foot. We should have more details in two weeks but what is really interesting is the suggestion of a modified TT-RS 2.5 liter inline 5 turbo with about 400 horses. G-power makes some pretty lofty claims. This would be yet another although we give them the benefit of the doubt based on what we have seen from their Hurrican RS sedan. G-power is going to produce a run of 1,025 of these twin supercharged S85 V10 powered wagons. This is the SK III built motor package we have already seen on other cars which puts out in the neighborhood of of 750 hp. Another record was set by an MHP car at the MIR drag strip this weekend. BenzBoost member Dodger63 pushed further into the 10's by running 10.78@131. This is an increase of 7 miles per hour of trap speed over his previous 10 second slip which is incredible. We have the slip here and will have further details with pictures posted later in the week. Well it ended up being 74 degrees but we still had a great day at MIR. DA was +1249' at the time of this pass. 3/4 tank of gas, half 93, half 100 (don't ask lol). Full interior, stock front wheels, borrowed C63 wheels with 18" Nitto DRs and BMC drop ins with our v3 CDT (ECU & TCU Tuning).
Obviously we left a lot in the 60' and the temps didn't help. I think the car will go 10s@130+ as it sits next rental. First time to the track learning the car and there's a lot to learn
I will say that 63s can run all day long 40+ passes and not miss a beat, 65s in this weather without cooling upgrades are meat after 1 pass.

This is Brian Henderson's very, very low V8 A4 avant. The car is lowered on an accuair air suspension which allows him to get very aggressive with the stance. The wheels are from rotiform and contrast with the dark bodywork. This car has been all over the web and is certainly opening eyes. We like it as it is different and believe he pulled it off well. Tom Coronel will be the driver competing with his Roal Motorsport BMW in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). Many of you know this driver who switched to BMW from Seat for the 2011 season. The Q3 will debut next month at Geneva. AutoExpress got their hands on some spyshots and also has a rendering. The car will be based on the VQ tiguan platform and will offer a 2.0t under the hood. In South America, South Africa, and parts of Europe, this is apparently a very popular option. It features a 6.3 liter W12 motor with 500 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. 0-60 is only 7.3 seconds though considering the major heft. The windows are all specially made to be able to resist whatever is thrown at them and they alone add almost 700 pounds of weight to the car. Sorry to give you pictures of the motor in bits and pieces like this, but they are hard to come by. Earlier this month we showed a low resolution picture of the motor. It was the best we had, until now. We have a high resolution side profile shot of the motor revealing some more details. Yes, the video is in German. If you can get past that, it is pretty good and worth watching as they drag race the X5 M vs. the Cayenne turbo, (skip to 2:47). The X5 M gets a jump on the Cayenne Turbo yet the Cayenne still pulls past it up top. They are pretty evenly matched despite the X5 M having a power advantage on paper but the current Cayenne is much lighter. The X5 M's weight simply works against it. Mazdaspeed6 had his RB turbo upgrade on his 335 dyno'd and here on the results on 93 octane. Supporting mods are cp-e exhaust, raceland dp's, ams fmic, cp-e chargepipe, bms dci, and a JB4. In his words:

The new Audi A6 has received an all LED headlight option. It joins other cars in the Audi lineup like hte A7, R8, and new A8 with all LED headlights. The light system is adjustable based on conditions. The control unit uses a small video camera that is situated in the rear view mirror along with data from the navigation system to anticipate changes in ambient lighting. AutoBild has rendered the upcoming Mercedes CLC. The car will be based on the underpinnings which will serve as the basis for the new A and B class. It will be an entry level 4-door "coupe" and the base model will be front wheel drive. Sound bad? Well, it will also be available in an all wheel drive model. AutoExpress got their hands on the new Audi A7. Note, this is a diesel version they are driving and there really aren't and performance numbers but they do provide some nice impressions. They feel the car is one of the best looking in the Audi range. In addition, they state it handles fairly well for its size and offers pretty good feedback. The tester seems to imply it offers a better connection to the driver than the new CLS. ...
