Today, 01:14 PMItsbrokeagain commented on article Harrop Engineering doing the "impossible" - Introducing the world's first positive displacement E92/E90/E92 S65 V8 supercharger in BMW Blog, Performance, Tuning, Motorsport, and Modification Newsfrom the looks of it, the manifold is set up the same way as an ESS one would be. im assuming the diverter/recirculation valve is setup to vent during partial cruise to keep boost from piling up in the intake unlike a centrifugal?160 replies | 1077 view(s) -
Today, 12:15 AMm54b25 commented on article Porsche 911 Turbo S (997.2) versus McLaren MP4-12C head to head at the 1/4 mile drag strip in Porsche Blog, Performance, Tuning, Motorsport, and Modification NewsThe 5 ultra rare HIGH SPORT edition sold thru THE COLLECTION in Coral Gables, FL dealer...with some convincing customer to McLaren Special Operations division. Will be very close to low 10's & possible high 9's if you can find an owner or McLaren willing to send a HS for PBIR runs. Also, the 2012 MP4-12c software upgrade 616bhp everyone looks at the peak 25 bhp gain alone; an axial dyno (unless you have a McLaren Tablet to use a 2wd dyno =) will show you the under the curve useable powerband to be much higher than the peak 25bhp gained. Also, note the engineers redid transmission software as well & that adds a difference too!!! BTW, that Dragtimes McLaren have the optional McLaren INCONEL stealth exhaust... I don't think another exhaust will make a difference.20 replies | 330 view(s)

They look to perform about like RB to me. The real issue with ASR isn't their N54 turbos its everything else with the business including the ownership. :)358 replies | 17616 view(s) -

Yesterday, 01:12 PMLostMarine commented on article Harrop Engineering doing the "impossible" - Introducing the world's first positive displacement E92/E90/E92 S65 V8 supercharger in BMW Blog, Performance, Tuning, Motorsport, and Modification Newsthe designation is probably pretty close to CFM #'s i would assume, possibly with some correction factor on there.. i think the 5-6psi guesstimate is due to what basic mid-level kits offer for entry intercooled kits. Factor in the unkowns for strength and 5-6 psi is a realistic conservative fully backed package160 replies | 1077 view(s)

I mean, ESS was the mainstream option until Gintani released their kit (late last year?) Tried Googling', not a single tech spec has been released on the 1740 -- No compressor maps of CFM. It seems everything people know is word of mouth at this time, like Sticky estimating 5.5psi160 replies | 1077 view(s)

Yesterday, 04:40 AMbenzy89 commented on article Harrop Engineering doing the "impossible" - Introducing the world's first positive displacement E92/E90/E92 S65 V8 supercharger in BMW Blog, Performance, Tuning, Motorsport, and Modification NewsThere isn't more peak power because they're limited by the blower size. People are making the same mistake on M3Post, you cannot directly compare a Centri Blower & a Roots/Twin Screw. They're going to have completely different curves & offer completely different power bands. IF there was a larger Roots blower that could be adapted to the S65 & offer the same peak power as the V3, then it'd easily be the better option with instant boost & better low end TQ.160 replies | 1077 view(s)
