ugh there you go lying again and reporting false facts..... as of august, per cnn, trump has been in office he has gotten 53 bills into law.... a far cry from your 0 number.... even uber liberal CNN is calling fake news on you... http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/29/politics/president-trump-legislation/index.html and since that CNN article, they rep. have gotten another 19 bills passed into Law. keep lying, that's why we cant take your facts seriously https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/browse?status=6,7,8&sort=-current_status_date#current_status=28

that's always been the hardest part for me to get over with tesla's.... honestly, even if they put a little tuned and loud 4 banger in it as a secondary motor and called it a hybrid, it would improve its appeal a bunch to me.... taking away the sound takes away the visceral connection to the car IMO, so even a little 1.6L highly tuned 4 cyl screaming as accelerating would make it so much more appealing..... hell even if the 4 cyl is only used to charge the batteries and programmed to rev in conjuction with the rpms of the car i would still be fine with it :)

You do realize that i can run like 3-4psi(whatever you set the gate at) to whatever the turbo can put out on an N54 correct? I'm not understanding how you cant wrap your head around the fact that you can make a turbo do anything A centrifugal Supercharger is simply a gear/belt driven turbo. gear/belt controls shaftspeed. On a normal turbo wastegate controls shaft speed. Which directly correlates to boost pressure and flow on both. The argument was "it can't be done" clearly it can. Now its "well it should be no one would ever do it". i does not however make it irrelevant to the original argument just because its not done often here. When i clearly said in the beginning its not done much on this platform because most people only care about straight lines and not road course where tuning like this would happen. Its all tuning, and again boost is boost. not really hard to understand. SHAFT SPEED SHAFT SPEED SHAFT SPEED. just because one is controlled by mechanical link and one not. doesn't change anything in reference to how dynamically boost can be built. that's one of the main advantages of Turbos. the ability to pretty much create whatever power curve you need/want to within the flow capability of the compressor.

This value is suppose to open only under deceleration when manifold vacuum is greater than the air intake on bank 2. The 2nd value at the air intake has bleed through so it balance the system with out damaging the engine. This is tuned system so messing with the orifice size and the valve cracking pressure is not wise thing to do. During idle an all other load the value should be shut. In short, the system is driven by the differential pressure between the inlet manifold and bank 2 pre turbo air inlet. The valve spring load is suppose to nothing but hold the assembly together and provide valve seating during activation. I am sure RB has the cracking pressure value. This system can cause many problem secondary problems . If there is a vacuum leak on bank 2 pre turbo air inlet you get + fuel trims since valve opens unless the intake manifold is grater than 0 PSI.. Many issue for this engine are directly related to intake leaks pre turbos which range from repeating engine oil leaks to over spooling over a single turbo...most problems like this go unsolved.

CKI@Motiv - I wasn't attempting to insult you or Motiv. I believe Motiv makes some great products, just none of them that I feel the need to use. My prices are off of your website man, that's why I was asking about it... not wanting to have a size contest here... but, I literally got the information from your website... I've seen a couple of the "lite" tune files and I would say that they honestly need a JB4 on them for safety and control...Im over on *********** as well, I just dont see you guys getting as butt hurt over there... As far as Joe's playboi is concerned... where in the hell did that come from??? Lol. There were requests for volunteers to further assist in developing the app, I raised my hand to help... not for Joe, he isn't paying me, but for the BMW community as a whole! But your missing what the BB App is... it's a flasher and logger just like the MHD application... BUT!!! Its also a full tuning and diagnostics application as well, for both the engine and transmission... I'm not trying to compete with Martial, he has a great product, I just want something different. I've been using the MHD app for over a year now and I like it for a flashing utility. However, I believe that programming your injectors, battery change, Alpina transmission flash, SZL alignment... and the list goes on.. but I also want to tune my engine and transmission within the same application, but not just my BMW 335i, my other vehicles as well...

It took a few hrs of programming due to how the timers and prescalars are multiplexed but given what the DME is capable of seems like it should be very straight forward. If you can get it down to 100hz it's not that far off. Anyway I had an idea for a simple converter that could retail for say $99, and we'd make good money on it, but not sure it's worth the effort. Better product might be a new solenoid that can run at higher speed? Anyway I'll keep the gears turning on this end. Had a flash only customer come up to me at No Fly Zone and lament his JB4 removal and how easy it was to change maps and tuning at the track when he needs. I think more and more single turbo guys will start to see what they are missing not running a JB4 when the dust settles and they are outside earshot of their pro boost box tuners. Not only is it cheaper and easier but does so much more for them. :)
